Can AI Qualify Leads for Contractors?

Yes. AI lead qualification asks your specific screening questions — job type, location, timeline, budget range, property type — the moment a customer contacts you, not hours later when you call back. Every lead arrives pre-screened, with intake notes, before you spend a minute on it.

The qualification problem for contractors: a human receptionist who answers a call has to decide in real time what to ask, may forget to collect key details, and records the information inconsistently. A callback-based qualification model asks the questions hours later — and only reaches the customer about half the time. AI qualification asks every question every time, in a natural conversation, and logs it automatically.

You define the qualification criteria. For a roofing company: is the roof accessible, what type of roofing, when did the damage occur, is it insurance or out-of-pocket? For an HVAC company: what type of equipment, how old is the system, is it no-heat or no-cool? The AI runs through these questions conversationally — not as a form, but as a dialogue — and summarises the answers in a structured lead record.

What doesn't work well: AI qualification is less effective for commercial or multi-site jobs where the customer themselves doesn't know the answers to technical questions. In those cases, the AI collects what it can and flags the lead for a human follow-up call, noting the gaps. The human call then has context instead of starting from scratch.

Common questions

Yes, at any time. The qualification flow is configured in your account and can be updated as your business changes. If you add a new service or stop taking certain job types, update the criteria and the AI adjusts immediately.
